Family Life Project offers a chance for paid work from home while helping families within your community

The Family Life Project in Delaware is looking for people to participate in a unique pilot called Families First Parenting Textline. Trained parent coaches will use texting to offer parental support around common parenting concerns such as work life balance issues, behavior management, child peer concerns (peer pressure). 


  • Requires serving  from 3 to 6 hour blocks of time
  • There will be a monthly stipend provided for your time
  • After training, this service will begin October 23, 2023

Kent County Town Hall Video

The Kent County Save Our Schools town hall in May 2023 featured the following speakers in this order:

  • Academic Scores in Delaware: Dr. Tanya Hettler, Caesar Rodney Institute
  • Parental Rights & Involvement: Dr. Elana Fishbein, No Left Turn in Education
  • School Safety: Dr. Beth Conaway, retired principal and educator
  • Teacher Shortages: Celeste Bunting, Indian River School District
  •  School board candidates who attended the town hall were given an opportunity to introduce themselves.

Where are the parents in this fight for their children's education?

Dr. Elana Fishbein, founder of No Left Turn in Education, asks during the town halls: what happened to all the parents who would jump in front of a bus for their children?
